Two proposed flyovers in Solapur city

Two flyovers are proposed by the National Highways Authority of India in Solapur city, namely Section-1 Old Puna Naka to Patrakar Bhawan Chowk (total length 5.45 km) and Section-2 Old Boramani Naka to Morarka Bungalow (total length 5.00 km). As per the government decision of the Government of Maharashtra dated 17.10.2018, the said project has been approved from the Maharashtra Suvarna Jayanti Urban Development Scheme, and as per the revised plan, the cost of land acquisition will be Rs.145.11 crore. The government share is 70% (Rs.101.577 crore) and the municipal share is 30% (Rs.43.53 crore). Rs.1.67 crore has been transferred to the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Special Unit, Solapur for payment of Municipal Corporation share. The Municipal Corporation has received a total amount of Rs.16.00 crore from MUIDCL, which is a loan of Rs.11.20 crore and a grant of Rs.4.80 crore. As per the above, Rs.1.67 crore and Rs.11.95 crore out of Rs.16.00 crore for Municipal Corporation share, a total amount of Rs.13.62 crore has been transferred to the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Special Unit, Solapur. Also, about 90% of the awards for flyover land acquisition section-1 have been announced and other works are in progress.
