Amrit Yojana
The approved project cost of Solapur City Underground Drainage Scheme under the
Central Government sponsored Amrit-1 Mission is Rs. 180.24 crore.
Due to follow-up for drainage, a loan of Rs. 96.61 crore has been approved for the
scheme under UIDF and administrative approval has been given on 25.09.2017.
The revised cost of the said scheme is Rs. 185.01 crore. Under the said scheme,
a total of 246 km of drainage lines are being laid in the city, and the work
of 20 MLD sewage treatment plant at Desai Nagar is in progress. The remaining work of
the said project is nearing completion. The potential cost of the Solapur City Underground
Drainage Scheme under the Central Government-sponsored Maharashtra Suvarna Jayanti Urban Upliftment Mahaabhiyan
(State Level) is Rs. 433.69 crore and a total of 207.54 km of drainage lines and a 49 MLD
sewage treatment plant at Degaon are proposed under this scheme. Administrative approval for the said project
has been received on 20.02.2024, the tender has been finalized and the work order for the work has been issued
on 12.10.2024. The DPR of the Solapur City Underground Water Supply Scheme worth Rs. 882.69 crore under
the Central Government-sponsored Amrut 2.0 has been prepared and submitted to the government for approval.
Through this work, the drainage network of the entire city will be completed along with the extension of the boundary.
